Position Overview:
Boeing Digital Services Technology India is currently looking for an Experienced Software Application Development - QA and Test Automation Engineer to join the team in Bangalore, IN. This role is expected to lead activities to design, develop, and complete test and verification of software products to ensure quality, reliability, and functionality. Lead stakeholder engagements to review and identify software requirements, test objectives, test strategies, and testability of the Product. Design test plans, cases, and scenarios to meet software requirements and specifications. Executes test cases and scenarios to verify functionality, performance, and safety of software systems, identifying and reporting defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities found during testing processes. Provides test results and feedback on software design and functionality to resolve defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities. Serves as an expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations.
Position Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and automated test suites using tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, JUnit, Jasmine, and JMeter.
• Create and execute automated test scripts for end-to-end, unit, functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
• Develop automation solutions and testing utilities using appropriate scripting languages and tools to improve test efficiency and coverage.
• Define and implement quality assurance strategies, standards, and best practices to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Validate that software solutions meet business, functional, and quality requirements before release.
• Apply clean code principles and testing best practices to ensure maintainable, scalable, and reliable automation assets.
• Test web services and microservices, including API validation, data integrity checks, and service-level behavior verification.
• Integrate automated test frameworks into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and faster feedback cycles.
• Review application code and automation code to identify defects, improve testability, and support development quality.
• Debug test failures and application issues to determine root causes and support timely resolution.
• Manage the defect lifecycle by logging, tracking, prioritizing, retesting, and verifying defects through closure.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, define test coverage, and ensure release readiness.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, automation coverage, and overall software quality practices.
• Remain current on industry best practices and emerging technologies
• Maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners
• Should have excellent communication and presentation skills
• Should have demonstrated ability to work in an AGILE environment.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Practical experience with automated testing frameworks for Java and JavaScript.
• Practical knowledge of static analysis tools such as SonarQube and Synopsys Coverity.
• Hands-on experience using Cucumber for end-to-end web application testing.
• Practical experience using JMeter and/or BlazeMeter for performance testing of microservices.
• Understanding of microservice architecture and experience testing distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of REST API principles and API testing methods.
• Experience testing both UI and API-based applications.
• Practical knowledge of Agile Test Matrix (ATM) or similar test management approaches.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build and deployment processes.
• Have experience in ALM tools Gitlab, Maven, Jenkins, Docker, Artifactory, and SonarQube
• Azure Application Development or support experiences with Azure PaaS services (Redis Cache, Azure Blob, RabitMQ, Cloud Service, etc.)
• Ability to work effectively as a collaborative team member in a cross-functional environment.
• Desire to learn and conduct hands-on experimentation, product evaluations and proof of concepts in various diverse array of technologies

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 10-12+ years of work experience in software testing, test automation, or quality assurance.
• Aerospace and/or Aviation industry /MRO experience preferred.
• Knowledge of relational database systems, including MSSQL.
• Knowledge of Entity Framework Core or equivalent frameworks.
• Experience with API validation tools such as Postman.
• Knowledge of messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ.
• Experience with monitoring and diagnostic tools such as Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
• Understanding of modern architectural patterns, including microservices, event-driven systems, monolithic applications, and serverless computing.
• Ability to support solution design with consideration for scalability, availability, resilience, security, and maintainability.
• Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD, configuration management, monitoring, virtualization, and cloud computing using Microsoft Azure and Microsoft DevOps.
• Familiarity with Java software development sufficient to analyze issues and identify potential code defects.

Typical Education & Experience:

• Typically 8 or more years related work experience. Advance degree (eg. Bachelors, Master etc.) preferred but not required.
