Follows the commitment of Garrett in the field of quality and represents in the organization the interests of the clients regarding the quality of the products. Coordinates Customer Quality Engineers and Customer Quality Technician in order to achieve performance on quality targets. Lead and is responsible for the Customer quality and internal quality performance by interacting with other departments within Garrett.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Leadership & Quality System Adherance
1) It standardizes the way of working with clients on quality issues. 2) C1 Reports daily :external PPM, number of incidents CQI, number of customer concerns CQC , 8D reports staus, block stock status for TC. 3) Participate in client audits - auditing the closing of actions following client incidents caused by the process 4) Ensures the introduction and compliance in the organization of requirements compliant with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards
5) Responsible and mentoring the development of his team members through the HPD and MRR process
6) Manage and execute STRAP & AOP Alignment
7) implement and enforce Zero Defect Strategy and other strategic initiatives to develop the quality functionality for future with the goal to further improve customer satisfaction.
Plant Operations & Strategic Improvement
1) Follows and ensures the implementation of actions resulting from customer incidents with internal cause, ensures the updating of the FMEA following these incidents;
2) Evaluates the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions initiated as a result of process-caused defects having an impact on clients;
3) Reports daily in level 4 meetings the status of client incidents - cause of internal processes
4) Leads cross-cutting meetings to ensure the elimination of customer incidents with a process cause at the level of all similar processes existing in the factory, including the weekly quality training
5) Lead the Customer quality performance of the plant with continuous improvement by interacting with other departments within Garrett
6) Manage the internal Metrology Laboratory.
7) Lead the Process Quality and Supplier Quality organization in relation to process and product improvement and control.
Quality Assurance, Risk Mitigation and Quality System Regulatory Compliance
1) Manage the plant Quality System and ensure compliance to standards with audits to reference standards and develops appropriate action plans.
2) Process/Product Auditing: supervise the PQ internal auditing activities.
3) Working on NPI for launch of defect free product to cusotmer
4) Participate/coordinate activities (including preventive) related to Customer audits.
5) Track quality department KPIs. Defining eventual corrective and/or preventive plans.
6) P-FMEA: interact to process FMEA leaders, driving the RPN reduction.
7) Ensure systematic implementation of the PPAP requirements (and/or Customer’s specifics)
8) Driving product Improvement: projects by providing feedback to Engineering/Regional Organization about critical aspects/parameters related to the product.
9) Ensure Customer Specific Requirement are cascaded to the concerned functions
10) Observes and ensures following of work rules and internal HS&E guidelines resulting from responsibilities of managers and other employees in HS&E areas in the current wording.
Education - Engineering Graduate/ Post graguate with tehnical profile
Experience - Minimum of 15 years experience in industry, preferably in the automotive sector, min 6 years in similar position
