Quality Engineering Lead

The Opportunity

Work closely with a technical and agile development team in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment. You will play a key role throughout the release life cycle by working closely with the Quality Testing team, software developers and project stakeholders to ensure that Quality Testing goals have been met.  

As the Quality Engineering Lead, Finance Technology, you will lead quality engineering activities across Finance and Corporate Technology initiatives, ensuring solutions are delivered with the highest standards of quality, reliability, and business value. 

What to Expect

• Define and execute quality strategies, test plans, and quality governance practices across Finance Technology initiatives. 
• Lead QE activities for Finance platforms and business processes, including General Ledger, Financial Reporting, Procurement, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Budgeting, Forecasting, and related integrations. 
• Drive a shift-left and automation-first mindset to improve quality, efficiency, and delivery outcomes. 
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of QE professionals while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and engineering excellence. 
• Partner with business stakeholders, Product Owners, Delivery Leads, Architects, Developers, and vendors to ensure successful delivery outcomes. 
• Establish risk-based testing approaches and ensure appropriate coverage across functional, integration, data, and end-to-end testing. 
• Provide clear reporting on quality status, risks, defect trends, and release readiness to stakeholders and leadership. 
• Support release planning, implementation activities, production validation, and post-release quality reviews. 
• Drive continuous improvement through modern QE practices, automation, AI-enabled testing, and process optimization. 
• Ensure testing and validation of critical financial data, reconciliations, reporting accuracy, controls, and system integrations. 

What you Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. 
• 8-10+ years of Quality Engineering, QA, or Test Management experience. 
• 3-5+ years leading QE teams or complex enterprise testing initiatives. 
• Experience developing test strategies and leading testing across multiple concurrent projects. 
• Strong understanding of Finance business processes and enterprise applications. 
• Experience testing Finance and Corporate Technology systems such as Oracle HCM Cloud, SAP, Workday, or similar enterprise platforms. 
• Experience with integration, API, data validation, and end-to-end testing. 
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills. 
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments and participating in Scrum ceremonies. 
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or equivalent collaboration tools. 
• Knowledge of test automation frameworks, CI/CD, and modern Quality Engineering
• Experience in the Property & Casualty Insurance industry. 
• Experience with financial controls, reconciliation testing, and regulatory reporting. 
• Experience leveraging automation and AI-enabled testing capabilities. 

Salary Range: $108,700-$158,700

Actual salary for the role may vary depending on work location of the successful candidate and other factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, working conditions and the local labour market.
