Quality Engineering Lead - Selenium, java, rest assured API, cucumber

Test Planning and Strategy:
*Assist in the development of test plans, cases, and scripts based on product requirements.
*Contribute to the implementation of test strategies for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
*Support QA strategy development and participate in product roadmap planning.
Test Execution:
*Execute manual and automated tests to ensure software quality.
*Perform regression testing and manual testing as needed.
Defect Management:
*Identify, document, and track defects.
*Collaborate with developers and product owners to resolve issues.
*Monitor QA metrics like defect densities and open defect counts.
Automation:
*Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and Java.
*Assist in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins, or using GitHub Actions
*Support test case automation activities during development and post-production.
Performance Testing:
*Conduct performance and load testing to identify bottlenecks.
*Analyze test results for performance optimization.
Documentation:
*Assist in creating and maintaining documentation of test procedures and results.
*Present test reports and metrics to stakeholders as needed.
Collaboration and Communication:
*Work with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
*Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
*Review customer requirements to ensure proper test coverage.
*Communicate QA strategies and outcomes to project teams.
Quality Standards and Best Practices:
*Ensure adherence to quality standards and industry best practices.
*Support continuous improvement of testing processes and tools.
*Configure testing environments for executing test cases.
*Contribute to QA process and tool development.
Education and Experience
*Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
*6-8 years of experience in software quality assurance, including both manual and automated testing
*Familiarity with file transfer management using SFTP clients and servers
*Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
*Exposure to AI prompting with Microsoft Copilot; AI User
Technical Skills
*Proficient in Selenium and Cucumber for automated testing
*Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter
*Strong command of Java, including multi-threading and load testing
*Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or using GitHub Actions
*Skilled in building test frameworks for UI and API using Serenity, JUnit, and TestNG
*Working knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript
*Experience using GitHub Copilot to enhance development and testing workflows
*Familiarity with integrating AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot) within IDEs such as Eclipse or IntelliJ, and testing frameworks like Junit
