Hexcel is currently seeking a Quality Engineering Intern for our Kent, WA, USA location.
Summary pay range: $21 - $24 hourly rate.
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
- Support risk evaluation, risk mitigation and process monitoring activities utilizing Data Analysis, Process monitoring, Process control, and Continuous Process Improvement.
- Assist Quality Engineers with Corrective Action Systems
- Identify and implement composite manufacturing improvements
- Quality inspection activities
- Engineering lab work using basic hand tools.
- Collect, analyze and summarize data and create basic test reports given an example format
- Perform assigned tasks on schedule within budgeted hours
- Supply visibility to management of potential problems
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program with minimum of 2 years completed at an accredited college or university in Engineering or other related field with curriculum such as: Statics, Dynamics, Strength of Materials, Calculus, or Statistics.
- 3.0 GPA or higher
- Ability to multi task effectively within a team environment in managing priorities.
- Passionate about aerospace, manufacturing and innovation
- Ability to work independently, learn new tasks/handle multiple tasks, solve problems, meet deadlines, and show strong self-motivation and initiative.
- Excellent communication skills (oral & written)
- Proficient use of, MS-Excel, MS-Word and MS-Power Point
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
