About the Role
This position in Quality Engineering is responsible for testing and validating data pipelines, data quality monitoring tools, and UI dashboards. The role works cross-functionally with Data Engineering and Product/UX teams to ensure systems are performant, accurate, and compliant with quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute manual and automated test cases for data pipelines and UI dashboards
- Validate data quality metrics, pipeline outputs, and dashboard health indicators
- Collaborate with Data Engineering and Product/UX to define acceptance criteria and quality standards
- Build and maintain automated test suites using Playwright with TypeScript/Java in GitHub Actions
- Participate in defect tracking, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain test plans, test cases, and QA process documentation in Confluence
- Support internal and external audits by maintaining records and framework documentation
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 2-4 years of QA/QE experience with manual and automation testing
- BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience in data-intensive or analytics-driven environments preferred
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Test automation using Playwright with TypeScript or Java
- CI/CD pipelines, particularly GitHub Actions
- JIRA and Confluence for issue tracking and documentation
- Data pipeline concepts and data quality testing methodologies
- UI dashboard testing for data health and accuracy- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
