The Quality Control Coordinator maintains and distributes Quality documents as directed by the Project Quality Manager or Field Quality Control Manager. They interface with the Owner's Team on technical issues, prepare reports with conclusions and recommendations for addressing Nonconformance issues, and review NDE and PWHT reports for conformance while updating the relevant weld and document management programs.
ResponsibilitiesPrepares reports, including conclusions and recommendations for resolving non-conformances.
Reviews NDE and PWHT reports for conformance and updates the relevant weld management program.
Provides information on processes and specifications to craftsmen, supervisors, and other relevant personnel.
Creates and manages quality logs to track quality-related data including NCR logs, Weld tracking logs, Concrete / Grout logs, etc.
Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Bluebeam Revu
Able to read and interpret weld procedures, engineering drawings, and project specifications.
Working knowledge of industry-related codes and standards required
Able to write clearly, accurately, and concisely.
Strong organizational skills for planning and scheduling inspections and tests
Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analysis skills required.
Effective client interaction skills necessary.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for co-workers and supervisors
Preferred Qualifications
5 years of related field work as a quality control inspector, craft supervisor or above
Relevant educational or certification requirements, such as an engineering degree, NCCER certification(s), or a quality control certification(s)
Work environment:
Will work in all weather conditions ranging from warm/hot – cool/cold. Occasional rain. Will work at different elevations. May be required to work in close, confined spaces for a long period of time. Noise levels will be moderate to high.
