Job Description:
At Regions, the Quality Assurance Testing & Automation Senior Manager is responsible for managing a team that develops and implements Quality Assurance (QA) procedures and processes that test the functionality of applications systems across various applications such as web, mobile, and mainframe.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manages teams responsible for Quality Assurance (QA) testing and automation processes and procedures
- Manages the direction and selection of frameworks, tools, setups, and strategies, with the support of the QA engineering team
- Oversees the testing, scalability, and capacity requirements, leads test planning and scripting, and establishes priorities and monitors progress and budget
- Collaborates with business leaders/stakeholders and provides advanced guidance in needs discovery and developing strategic plans to address issues
- Leads the development of acceptance criteria, test design, and automation recommendations in the early phases of projects
- Takes responsibility for monitoring and reacting to trends in the QA testing and automation industry and implements changes to improve efficiency, speed, and reduce cost through research and innovation
- Guides, leads, and influences teams in developing an advanced technical understanding through training junior managers
- Continuously develops and enhances testing frameworks, guidelines, and best practices
- Ensures that team is equipped with the necessary tools and technical knowledge to enhance the QA testing and automation procedures at Regions
- Collaborates with executives in determining project prioritization and overall strategy of team
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED and fourteen (14) years of experience in quality assurance testing/automation and/or software development
- Or Bachelors degree and ten (10) years of experience in quality assurance testing/automation and/or software development
Preferences
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Management, Statistics, Math, or related field
- Supervisory/management experience
- Experience creating, executing, and maintaining industry standard test automation frameworks as well as planning, estimating, and reporting automation testing activities
- Experience using API’s (e.g. SOAP/REST) to get/post the required information from/to other interfaces
- Experience utilizing Power BI and Harness
- Advanced knowledge of continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous testing practices
- Experience with various Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) such as C#, Visual Studio, Java, Eclipse, or IntelliJ
- Experience with C# - NUnit – RestSharp, or Java – TestNG – RestAssured, Postman as well as Bamboo, GIT, Artifactory, JIRA, and Confluence
- Experience creating relational database queries and analyzing data
- Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies

The Senior Quality Assurance and Test Automation Manager will be responsible for the overall strategy and oversight of quality assurance for Technology. Responsibilities will be centered around analyzing, testing, and reporting on overall system testing. They will manage a team to include QA Manager(s), Test Leads, QA Engineers, QA Consultants, QA Analysts (Test Engineers), and Test Automation Engineers. This resource will work closely with the Project Management, Solutions Architects, DevSecOps, and Application Development teams to assure successful software implementations.
- Establish working relationship with Software Engineering teams to drive continuous improvement of overall software quality
- Build effective and efficient test automation process
- Enhance QA and Test Automation framework to support quality continuous delivery
- Create and monitor metrics related to Software Quality
- Support the DevSecOps strategy
This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense. This position must be within a reasonable driving distance to Birmingham, AL. Exceptions to the geographic location requirement may be made for current Regions associates who work remotely.

Compensation Details
Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
