POSITION SUMMARY
The purpose of this position is to maintain the certificates of analysis inbox by responding to internal and external customer requests for certificates of analysis in a timely manner.
The individual in this position will also be expected to assist with monitoring and executing requirements by the ISO 9001 quality management system.
Additionally, the QA Specialist is expected to support the functions of the Sharonville quality control laboratory by assisting with training and covering for Sharonville QC Chemists as necessary. The role works closely with Quality Control, Plant Management, Production Teams and EHS to ensure overall quality and safety of products produced and distributed from the Sharonville Plant.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Employ safe work habits and comply with all applicable safety requirements.
Maintain the functionality of the certificates of analysis (certs) account to ensure certificates of analysis are accurately provided to internal and external customers upon request and in accordance with customer specific requirements in a timely manner.
Provide production support including testing, adjusting and disposition of raw materials, products and packaging as necessary.
Works closely with Quality Control, Plant Management, Production Teams and EHS to ensure overall quality and safety of products produced and distributed from the Sharonville Plant.
Provide technical support with regard to waste minimization, environmental compliance, and timely disposition of returns, discrepant product and materials.
Utilize SPC methods in data collection, root cause analysis, corrective/preventive action effectiveness and cost saving/avoidance analysis.
Any other responsibilities delegated by the Quality Assurance Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
One to three years of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment preferred.
Statistical Process Control, Data Analysis, PC skills.
Must have strong problem-solving abilities specifically in technical matters.
Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel at multiple locations.
Must be able to excel in a team environment.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or equivalent.
