What will you be doing?
Quality assurance is achieved by defining, documenting (manual), implementing, and verifying processes. Results of the verification are reported and proposals for improvement are initiated.
The QA & QC department takes initiatives to implement legal requirements, (industry) quality standards within the organization and incorporate them into the quality management system. It ensures that this is safeguarded and the associated certification is continued.
The QA Officer works together with the other members of the QA team (3 fte) based on an annual plan. Within the team, there is a division of responsibilities.
The focus of the QA Officer is primarily on ensuring product and process quality within operations and supply chain. Based on observations (audits, work inspection rounds), complaints, and data, they work independently and in collaboration with other personnel on (re)direction and continuous improvement.
Main focus: Prepare, co-formulate, and implement quality and product safety policies in the medium term. Ensure the optimization of the quality of products and processes in the assigned area(s) of focus.
Other tasks:
Identify relevant internal developments;
Provide input to management for the QA & QC policies of the organization (through presentations); increase awareness in the organization; Participate in projects within the organization in the QA & QC field; Plan and conduct internal audits and support external audits; Evaluate product safety and quality risks in the design, layout, execution, and maintenance of processes, installations, and buildings; Evaluate product safety and quality risks in the design, production, storage, and delivery of the product.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor's degree in quality management/food technology or equivalent;
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in the field within an industrial environment;
- Good command of the Dutch and English language (both oral and written);
- Must have knowledge and experience in implementing and ensuring quality in production processes and organizational processes;
- Must be familiar with continuous improvement techniques;
- Must be able to advise, motivate, and convince at various levels within the organization on quality topics and handle any resistance effectively;
- Experience in analyzing quality deviations and formulating and implementing corrective and preventive measures;
- Knowledge of product safety (food safety).
