Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements, and maintains test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Conducts functional, regression, integration, E2E and performance testing.
  • Identifies, documents, and tracks defects, ensuring they are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Collaborates with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback.
  • Responsible for continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Participates in code reviews and provide input on quality and testability.
  • May be responsible for performance and coaching of staff and has a participatory role in decisions regarding talent selection, development, and performance management.
  • Hands on experience on test automation.
  • Knowledge on macros and data validations.

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.Experience: Generally, a minimum of 6 years of related experience that includes experience in Quality Assurance Analysis. Continuing progress toward and/or the completion of a professional designation preferred, such as International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) Certified Tester or Certified Software Testing Engineer (CSTE).

2+ Years of experience on P&C insurance domain.

Scope of Job/Qualifications: Performs complex testing functions and tasks.  Performs analysis of requirements, test coverage and impact of proposed requirements changes.  Plans and leads the test effort on moderately complex projects. Conducts peer reviews of test artifacts. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to gather and analyze data to drive decision making. Exhibits business knowledge and the ability to identify and define business needs including an understanding of the organization's business and technology operations. Demonstrates strong customer focus by being responsive, consultative, collaborative and accurate in work approach. May serve as Scrum Master on an agile team, helping the team through a combination of facilitation and coaching, while also helping those outside the team understand how to interact with the team. May serve as an agile development team member, creating and testing the product increment. Provides technical advice and support to lower-level positions. Proficiency in automated testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG. Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript preferred.

This job is non-exempt in California.
