Cardo Systems, the global market leader in wireless communication systems for motorcycle and outdoor helmets, is looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented QC Engineer to join our China Operations team.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of Cardo products throughout the manufacturing lifecycle, working closely with contract manufacturers, suppliers, R&D, Product Management, NPI, and Operations teams. You will play a key role in driving quality excellence from NPI through mass production while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across our manufacturing partner network.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain incoming, in-process, and outgoing quality control procedures and inspection plans.
- Monitor product quality throughout production and ensure compliance with Cardo quality standards.
- Conduct quality audits and process assessments at manufacturing partners and suppliers.
- Lead root cause analysis investigations and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Support NPI activities, trial builds, validation processes, and production readiness reviews.
- Participate in EVT, DVT, PVT, and production builds, ensuring quality requirements are met before each phase gate.
- Work closely with manufacturing partners to identify quality risks and implement effective solutions.
- Monitor production quality metrics and analyze trends to proactively prevent quality issues.
- Review and approve inspection reports, quality documentation, and corrective action plans.
- Support reliability testing, failure analysis, and qualification activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality, manufacturability, and reliability.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using structured quality methodologies.
- Prepare quality reports and present quality performance updates to management.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Control, Manufacturing Quality, or Supplier Quality.
- Experience working with contract manufacturers and suppliers in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of quality methodologies and tools such as 8D, CAPA, FMEA, SPC, Root Cause Analysis, and AQL sampling.
- Experience supporting NPI and mass production processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Fluent English and Mandarin, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to travel frequently between supplier and manufacturing sites.
