You will control the quality of material, process and finish product to meet customer requirements. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll support all relevant activities by leading the process to drive continuous improvement in the organization. The QC Engineer role is an important position in determining the quality of powder every production batch manufactured in the plant. You are required to evaluate the result of the production batches objectively through the standard test, upholding the highest level of integrity. Ensure full adherence to EHS and 5S requirements to safeguard personnel and maintain operational standards in the plant. You'll need to have knowledge or skills in powder coating making, powder technology or chemical and have previously worked in a manufacturing plant in production or quality control.
Responsibilities
- Track the material performance and co-operating with all concerns section to improve/ solving the material concerns.
- Assure the product quality consists of customer requirements.
- Lead the investigation for product quality problems, determine root cause, gather and analyze data and implement corrective action to reduce or eliminate cause.
- Perform product and process evaluations to identify areas for improvement. Recommend solutions to identified problems. Implement approved changes using sound quality engineering principles and fully document requirements within timeframe.
- Review regular inspection data and prepare statistical and operational performance reports from time to time.
- Monitor and perform quality activities to support First Lot Control process.
- Manage the hold inventory by working with relevant departments. Improve on reduction and identify the prevention plan.
- Review the stock shelf life in advance to ensure the stock is life and ready to use without any issue.
- Maintain the measurement is in ready to use condition by following the measurement system analysis and calibration principles to comply with the ISO9001, IATF 16949 requirements.
- Improve QC accuracy with zero SSPL and complaint cause from QC miss interpretation on the result.
- Ensure the retain sample accuracy
- Coordinate and support new product development activity related to product quality. Coordinate with process engineers to achieve first lot control process
- Improve the NCR/CAIR close rate as required and identify all NCR/CAIR with root cause
Qualifications
- Minimum Degree in relevant discipline
- Knowledge in chemicals Industries
- Knowledge / Qualification in Lean Six Sigma is a bonus point.
- Minimum 2 years working experience in manufacturing plant preferably in powder coating industry and QC function
- Communicate with a larger team internal and external country both in local language and English
- Detail‑oriented and accountable in ensuring product quality, compliance, and documentation
