Job Description

Job Summary

  • Responsible for supervising quality activities in given particular disciplines in accordance with quality management system established by QC Manager.
  • Planning, controlling and performing inspections and tests on discipline responsible and managing inspectors in the disciplines for which they are responsible

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Monitoring work performance according to a result of risk management
  • Managing work performance on particular discipline as per applicable work process
  • Managing actual result of Quality Performance Indicator
  • Coordinating and monitoring with other discipline required to provide corrective action
  • Liaising and solving with clients on Quality related matters such as Quality Issue and NCR, Observation
  • Managing work activity through system management tool (FMCS, SCMS)
  • Identifying and mitigate quality risks
  • Conducting audits and inspections

Discipline Specific 

  • Application of Instrumentation engineering principles and practices
  • Design and installation of instruments, control systems, and automation systems
  • Instrument calibration and testing
  • Implementing Instrumentation standards and regulations (e.g. ISA, IEC)
  • Quality control and inspection techniques for instrumentation and control systems
  • Loop Package Preparation and Control

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant field

Experience

  • 10+ years of direct work experience in inspection of capital projects quality
  • Familiarity with project specifications and standards, and medium to large-sized project experience
  • Experience in oil / gas / petrochemical or power plants
  • Engineering & Construction Company working experience in GCC

Certification Required

  • Certification in NDT Level II or higher
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification

Technical and Behavioral Competency

  • Expert knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Advanced inspection techniques and tools, material testing methods, and documentation
  • Understanding of project management principles.
  • Leadership and management skills
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Discipline knowledge and experience in Control rooms, instrument shelters, analyser houses, process skids
