About Clinically AI

Clinically AI is redefining how Behavioral Health and Long-Term Care organizations work by delivering an intelligence layer that automates documentation, auditing, and operational workflows at scale. Our platform already creates immense value—saving thousands of hours and strengthening sustainability for providers serving the nation’s most vulnerable communities. We’re profitable, expanding rapidly, and engineering our way through some of the hardest problems in healthcare.

Quality is at the heart of everything we deliver. As we grow, we’re investing in a modern QA function that blends rigorous testing, strong automation practices, and AI-powered tooling to ensure our products remain fast, reliable, and safe for clinicians across the country.

If you’re a QA engineer who thrives on building high-confidence systems, enjoys breaking complex product surfaces in thoughtful ways, and wants to contribute to an engineering culture that moves fast without sacrificing quality—this is the place for you.

The Opportunity

As a QA Engineer at Clinically AI, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and correctness of a platform used daily by thousands of clinicians. You’ll work across the entire product ecosystem—React front-ends, Node services, browser extensions, mobile apps, and AI-powered services—designing test plans, building automated regression suites, and partnering closely with engineers and product managers to embed quality early in the development lifecycle.

You’ll play a foundational role in shaping QA best practices, improving our automation infrastructure, and establishing clear quality signals for releases. This is a high-ownership role where you’ll have significant influence over how we scale quality as the company grows.

Core Responsibilities
  • Own quality for features across web apps, browser extensions, APIs, and mobile applications.

  • Develop, maintain, and execute manual and automated test plans, including functional, exploratory, integration, and regression testing.

  • Build and enhance automated regression tests using Playwright—our primary UI automation framework.

  • Validate API functionality, error handling, and data integrity using tools like Postman or similar.

  • Collaborate early with Product & Engineering to define clear acceptance criteria and identify edge cases.

  • Create clear, high-quality bug reports with reproduction steps, screenshots/video, logs, and impact assessments.

  • Participate in release validation, smoke testing, and ongoing regression cycles within a CI/CD environment.

  • Use AI-powered tools to accelerate test coverage, identify failure patterns, and streamline manual workflows.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our SDLC, release processes, QA documentation, and test automation strategies.

Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of QA experience testing modern SaaS/web applications.

  • Experience writing automated tests using Playwright (or similar frameworks such as Cypress, WebdriverIO, Selenium).

  • Strong understanding of modern front-end behavior, browser debugging tools, and DOM/network analysis.

  • Hands-on experience validating RESTful APIs, including authentication, roles, permissions, and error cases.

  • Comfort writing automated tests in JavaScript/TypeScript.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred) and integrating automated tests into release workflows.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills—able to isolate root causes and communicate findings clearly.

  • Excellent collaboration skills and comfort working closely with engineering, product, and customer-facing teams.

  • High ownership mindset and ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Preferred Qualifications

(Not required, but nice to have.)

  • Experience testing React applications, browser extensions, or real-time web interfaces.

  • Exposure to mobile app testing (iOS/Android) using simulators or physical devices.

  • Experience with performance or load testing tools (k6, JMeter, Locust).

  • Familiarity with GCP, cloud-based deployments, or distributed systems.

  • Background working in regulated or security-focused environments (HIPAA, SOC2, NIST).

  • Experience testing AI/LLM-based features or products with non-deterministic behavior.

Why Clinically AI?
  • Modern Engineering & QA Culture: Work with a team that values quality, testability, and automation—not afterthought QA or “test at the end” release cycles.

  • AI-Accelerated Workflow: Use advanced developer-focused AI to speed up test generation, data setup, log analysis, and coverage strategy.

  • Mission-Driven Impact: Every test you write and every bug you catch directly helps clinicians provide better care to vulnerable populations.

  • High Ownership & Growth: Build foundational QA systems in a rapidly scaling engineering organization.

  • Competitive Compensation: Strong salary and benefits designed to attract top talent.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: $80K–$120K

  • Time Off: Unlimited PTO

  • Health: Medical, dental, and vision

  • Retirement: 401(k) with company match + Roth option
