We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer to design, develop, and maintain manual/automated test frameworks for our web applications and APIs. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with manual and automated testing, Playwright-based automation, API testing, and version control practices, along with strong problem-solving ability and an interest in leveraging AI tools to improve testing efficiency.
Performance Objectives

• Perform manual testing to validate functionality, usability, and edge cases.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright for web application testing
• Perform API testing (functional, regression, and integration) using tools like Postman
• Create and maintain test scripts, test cases, and test data for both manual and automated coverage
• Analyse complex business logic and data flows to design effective test scenarios
• Debug and troubleshoot test failures, identify root causes, and report defects clearly
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand requirements and ensure adequate test coverage
• Maintain and optimize existing automation frameworks for scalability and reliability
• Use VS Code / IntelliJ for writing, debugging, and maintaining automation scripts
• Leverage AI/Claude prompting knowledge to accelerate test case generation, script writing, debugging, and documentation

Competitive Candidate Profile

• 2-3 years of hands-on experience in QA (manual + automation)
• Strong experience in manual testing - test case design, exploratory testing, regression testing, and defect reporting
• Experience in Playwright for UI/web automation (JavaScript/TypeScript or Python)
• Experience in API testing (REST/SOAP) using Postman or similar tools
• Experience with VS Code / IntelliJ as a development/testing IDE
• Familiarity with prompting AI tools like Claude for generating test scripts, debugging, and improving productivity
• Good mathematical and logical reasoning skills to analyse complex scenarios, calculations, and data-driven test cases
• Strong analytical skills to break down complex problems into testable components
• Understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and STLC
• Good analytical and debugging skills

Good to Have (Optional)

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
• Basic understanding of performance or load testing tools
• Integrate automated tests with Git version control and collaborate on branching/merging workflows
