Job Title
You will help improve the performance of customer-facing digital channels on Microsoft Azure. You will design and carry out performance testing, monitor user experience, and support the reliability and efficiency of web and mobile platforms.
In this role you’ll / Your main responsibilitiesDefine performance and non-functional requirements (NFRs), and set performance targets for customer journeys
Design and carry out performance testing (load, stress, and scalability) and integrate testing into the development lifecycle using Azure DevOps
Analyse performance data using Application Performance Monitoring (APM), real-user monitoring, and distributed tracing to identify and resolve bottlenecks
Optimise Azure services (Azure Kubernetes Service, App Service, API Management, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, Redis Cache, Content Delivery Network (CDN)) for latency, throughput, and cost
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system performance, validate scaling behaviour, and support performance monitoring in production
Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
Experience in performance engineering across web, mobile, or cloud-based systems
Experience working with performance testing tools such as Azure Load Testing, Apache JMeter, k6, Gatling, or similar
Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or similar
Problem-solving approach with the ability to communicate technical findings clearly to different stakeholders

Skills Required
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience in performance engineering across web, mobile, or cloud-based systems
- Experience with performance testing tools such as Azure Load Testing, Apache JMeter, k6, Gatling, or similar
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and optimizing Azure services (AKS, App Service, API Management, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, Redis Cache, CDN)
- Experience integrating performance testing into development lifecycle using Azure DevOps
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, APM, real-user monitoring, and distributed tracing
- Strong problem-solving and ability to communicate technical findings to diverse stakeholders
