Job description:
We are looking for a strong Senior QA Engineer to join our engineering org. This is a hands-on, high-impact individual contributor role — you will own both automation and manual testing, shape our testing strategy, and collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and DevOps to ensure we ship with confidence. If you have deep expertise in building quality frameworks from the ground up, a sharp eye for defects, and strong opinions about how software should be tested, this is the role for you.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Quality Strategy & Collaboration
Contribute to and continuously improve the overall QA strategy — covering both manual and automated testing across functional, regression, and exploratory tracks
Own end-to-end test planning and execution — automation coverage, manual exploratory testing, and release readiness sign-off
Partner with Engineering Managers and Product Managers to embed quality early in the development lifecycle
Champion shift-left testing practices and advocate for quality at every stage of the delivery lifecycle
Testing & Automation
Design and implement scalable test automation frameworks for UI, API, and performance testing
Oversee test case design, review coverage gaps, and ensure thorough regression and smoke test suites
Perform deep root cause analysis on critical bugs and drive systemic fixes in collaboration with engineering
Own performance, load, and security testing initiatives in collaboration with the DevOps team
Process & Governance
Define QA metrics, dashboards, and reporting — track defect density, test coverage, escape rates, and cycle time
Establish and maintain QA processes, standards, and best practices in alignment with engineering workflows
Ensure compliance with release checklists and sign-off criteria before every deployment
Continuously improve CI/CD pipeline integration for automated testing
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
6–8 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance, with strong expertise in both automation and manual testing
Strong hands-on experience with test automation frameworks — Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, RestAssured, or equivalent
Solid understanding of API testing (Postman, REST API), performance testing (JMeter, k6), and security testing basics
Experience in Agile/Scrum environments with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar)
Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language — Python, Java, or JavaScript
Experience with bug tracking and test management tools — Jira, Zephyr, TestRail, or similar
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate defects, risks, and quality status to engineering and product stakeholders
NICE TO HAVE
Experience in a B2B SaaS or fintech/regtech product environment
Exposure to AI/ML product testing or data pipeline validation
Knowledge of accessibility testing standards (WCAG)
ISTQB or equivalent certification
