Job Description:
Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements, acceptance criteria, and user stories.
2. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing of the iXBRL solution.
3. Implement test automation frameworks and tools to streamline the testing process and improve efficiency.
4. Execute automated tests, analyze test results, and identify defects or inconsistencies in the iXBRL solution.
5. Work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues identified during testing.
6. Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews.
7. Document test cases, test plans, and test results to ensure traceability and maintainability of the testing process.
8. Continuously evaluate and enhance test automation strategies, tools, and processes to improve overall testing effectiveness and efficiency.
Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven experience (3+ years) as a QA Automation Engineer or similar role.
3. Strong proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks such as Cypress and Postman.
4. Proficiency in programming languages such as TypeScript for writing automated test scripts.
5. Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
6. Experience with Agile software development methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
7. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
9. Experience with financial reporting standards (XBRL, iXBRL) and regulatory compliance (SEC, HMRC, etc.) is a plus
