Job Summary/Objective:Quality Assurance Engineers at MRI collaborate closely with Product Management and Product Development teams to deliver high-quality, high-performance products for our clients. In this role, QA-Engineers are responsible for creating and contributing to the documentation of user stories and acceptance criteria, working alongside product owners and development teams. They define the manual and automation testing strategies, tools, scenarios, and plans for both web and mobile products, ensuring comprehensive functional and performance testing.QA-Engineers will execute static, dynamic, and performance testing while providing detailed reporting and feedback throughout the development lifecycle. They are expected to demonstrate strong technical skills, including expertise in Back-end development, database queries, and a keen attention to detail. Effective written, verbal, and organizational communication is essential.In addition, QA-Engineers will leverage AI to optimize and automate repetitive tasks, thereby enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of QA processes, ensuring a faster, more accurate testing cycle.Manual:
  • Coaches junior team members.
  • May perform demonstrations of developed software to business representatives.
  • Participates in the creation, development and maintenance of test strategies.
  • Writes more complex SQL statements to assist in solution implementations.
  • Participates in research of QA solutions and/or tools that provide value to MRI-Software.  Evaluates and enhances standards, technologies, and approaches in conjunction with senior team members.
  • Execute security test cases as identified.
  • Lead the integration of AI in manual testing workflows to improve the effectiveness and speed of test execution.
  • Use AI to optimize test data creation and defect triage, identifying potential issues early based on predictive analytics.
Automation:
  • Research solutions and/or tools that provide value to MRI.  Evaluates and enhances standards, technologies, and approaches in conjunction with senior team members.
  • Assists in the development of ongoing training for the QA team
  • Reviews code committed by junior team members, ensures all are adhering to correct standards.
  • Design and develop more complex automated scripts for functional tests, utilizing AI tools to enhance test generation and improve script reliability.
  • Evaluate AI-driven tools that automate test creation, providing recommendations on tool enhancements for future test cycles.
  • Mentor junior engineers on using AI-driven testing tools and analyzing AI-based reports.

  • Creates web performance and load test projects in performance test tool with direction and oversight from more senior team members.
  • Performs stress and performance testing with direction and oversight from more senior team members.
  • Creates, edits, and maintains basic performance scripts.
  • Records and maintains source control of performance scripts.
Education :
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field
  • Proficiency with Playwright
  • Experience programming in C# and/or Java
  • Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript
  • Experience with SpecFlow (BDD) and automation frameworks
  • API testing experience (REST, SOAP) and tools (SoapUI, Postman)
  • Experience with source control and tools (Git, TFVC) and Jira/Xray
  • Strong SQL skills and ability to write complex queries
  • Experience with performance, load, stress testing and source control for performance scripts
  • Experience integrating AI-driven tools into QA workflows and automating test generation
  • Experience mentoring or coaching junior QA engineers and reviewing code
  • Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills
