BE PART OF THE CONNECTION
As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you'll develop and execute formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications. You'll work on multiple programs and systems as a project team member and will be considered a subject matter expert for a single program or system.
WHAT OUR QUALITY ASSURANCE ANALYSTS ENJOY MOST
- Defining and tracking quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results, and test status
- Collecting and analyzing data for software process evaluation and improvements and integrating them into business processes to address business needs
- Documenting all problems and assisting in their resolution
- Delivering quality process training to technical staff and acting as an internal quality consultant to advise or influence business and technical partners
- Performing quality audits across the various IT functions to ensure quality standards, procedures, and methodologies are being followed
You'll work in a dynamic office environment. On a given day you'll be involved in test planning, test case automation, test execution, and writing test cases and scripts. You'll excel in this role if you have a positive, professional demeanor, and can negotiate effectively with key stakeholders.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM
Required Qualifications
- Experience: System development, business/systems analysis, testing, and/or business experience: 3 years or more
- Education: Bachelor of Arts or Science in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience
- Technical skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; experience using HP Test Suite, POSTMAN API or other testing tools
- Abilities: Analyze and resolve defects; prioritize and organize effectively; handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously; communicate in a clear manner orally and in writing
- Knowledge: Exposure to test automation tools; understanding of database schemas and querying tools; demonstrated understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC); understanding of quality assurance process, tools, and methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Testing Certification ISTQB Foundation Level
