Department OverviewPurchasing department in Videotec oversees the purchasing of direct and indirect materials, new products introduction, suppliers for maintenance of the building, commodities, suppliers passive cycle, certifications.
Job Description

She/He, coordinating a team of 2 resources and in cooperation with the global Procurement Team, will be responsible for developing purchasing strategies in conformity with business unit requests and oversee the purchasing team in their daily activities of sourcing suppliers and purchasing products, equipment, and services. Will be responsible for tracking KPIs of the department.

Scope of Responsibilities / Expectations

  • Direct and Indirect procurement processes in conformity with corporate procedures, terms & conditions and specifications starting from suppliers definition to goods receipt

  • Vendor Management activities:

    • Suppliers scouting and evaluation, defining the best possible solutions for the company in terms of Quality, Pricing and Lead Time

    • Suppliers development and improvement

    • Prices monitoring and reduction

    • Risk evaluation in terms of stability and volumes with definition of corrective actions in alignment with business objectives

  • Vendor relationship activities:

    • Business negotiations 

    • Long term agreements 

    • Orders dispatch, monitoring and expediting

    • Invoices receipt and registration for passive cycle

    • Declaration collections (Eg. Reach+Rohs, COO, others)

  • Vendor rating:

    • Evaluation of suppliers in terms of Quality, Pricing, on-time delivery and definition of corrective actions

She/He, will cooperate with:

  • the Planning and the Production teams in order to define demand in terms of volume for mass production 

  • R&D team for New Products Introduction and product portfolio maintenance

  • Quality team for suppliers rating and evaluation in addition to area procedures

  • International Procurement team for strategic sourcing and synergies

Desired Background/Knowledge/Skills:

  • A proactive person enthusiast for this profession with 5 to 10 years of experience as Purchasing Manager

  • Previous managerial experience

  • Previous experience in purchasing of the following “class” or at least part of them:

    - Mechanical parts

    - Carpentry parts

    - Die Casting

    - Electronics from PCB to components level

  • Strong capabilities in team working, accountable to other people inside the organization

  • A person driven by results who wants to move further her/his objectives and opportunities

  • Oriented to innovation and that wants to strength her/his skills to do things differently and better

Education:

  • Technical diploma/ Bachelor's degree with an engineering/economic focus 


Basic Requirements

  • English knowledge (B2 level minimum - oral and written is a must) and native/fluent Italian.

  • Microsoft office/Google suite knowledge
