Manage AQA’s partnership and publishing activities, making sure that we work with the right partners to support customers and meet business objectives.
As part of AQA you will define and develop the overarching plan and processes that support effective working across the organisation and between third parties.
You have the ability to think strategically and commercially, specifically in relation to our brand to ensure we protect and enhance our reputation in the market.

What you’ll be doing.
- Define and manage AQA partnerships and publishing plans and processes, delivering material that meets customer needs and aligns with AQA’s strategic business objectives.
- Ensure publication dates are met and conflict of interest standards are adhered to, ensuring material produced meets AQA Quality Framework standards and adheres to Ofqual Conditions of Recognition, AQA’s Wider Interests Policy.
- Brief and manage Associates, Subject Support team, third parties or other AQA colleagues to support approval process and ensure it runs smoothly.
- Manage the budget for partnerships and publishing work. Ensure that internal costs for content production are managed including managing reviewer payments for publishing process.
- Collaborate with publishers to ensure AQA partner approval processes run smoothly for all parties. Work with publishers to ensure that their advertising meets contractual obligations and legislative (Ofqual) requirements.
- Manage publishing updates, ensuring reprint lists and print files are maintained and changes are maintained and communicated, both print and digital
- Monitor success of both print and digital content in line with market and product objectives.
- Alongside the Head of Subject Development, you will support the development of the AQA partnerships and publishing strategy and product strategies, with respect to both print and digital resources.
- Alongside the market propositions leads and lead product managers, you will understand customer needs, analyse sales data and commission market research where needed to inform decision making about our long-term publishing and partnership work.
What you’ll need to succeed.
- You’ll be an experienced manager with strong stakeholder skills to build and maintain relationships internally and externally. You’re confident making decisions and offering guidance to other teams to help them execute your plans.
- You’ll have experience in content production and publishing, with strong editorial skills and attention to detail to ensure material is fit for purpose and meets quality standards.
- You’ll have the ability to co-create content and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders and third parties.
- You’re creative and innovative to find new ways to meet customer needs with our partnerships and publishing activities.
- You’re a strong communicator, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, organisation and prioritisation skills to manage multiple demands and make judgements.
- You’re able to work independently to take the initiative and be proactive.
- You’ll have experience and knowledge of the wider education marketplace, in particular publishing and content.
