About the job
The Red Hat People (HR) team is looking for a Workforce Planning Program Manager to join us. In this role, you'll play an integral part in working with the Global Business Functions and Talent Solutions teams that bring innovative new marketing and talent experience efforts to life. You'll be a key partner to the Manager of Workforce Planning and will assist in driving the build and implementation of workforce planning and management at Red Hat. You will partner collaboratively across teams and roles to ensure alignment and measurable improvements to multiple new and existing programs, processes and systems.
This is a highly collaborative role requiring excellent global partnership with Talent Acquisition (TA), Finance, Global Workplace Solutions, IT, HR Systems, and Reporting and Analytics teams. What you will do

  • Support the development of a workforce strategy, planning processes, and tools that support building an adaptive, agile workforce
  • Support the business by providing talent supply and demand analysis that support the development of future talent pipeline building
  • Collaborate across the HR team, Finance, IT, Facilities, and business teams to assess planning needs and ensure global consistency in delivering planning activities
  • Document processes, process maps, and governance models to ensure clear roles and responsibilities, handoffs, and outcomes
  • Provide real-time support to key stakeholders, including consulting and resources, throughout key milestones and deliverables of the process
  • Test predictive analytics and modeling to plan and provide options for functional and company growth
  • Consult with business partners and stakeholders to understand their future talent needs and growth plans; propose and plan solutions to help business stakeholders meet their talent and growth goals
  • Analyze workforce data and draw insights regarding workforce themes, gaps, and focus areas in partnership with HR Analytics to provide recommendations and drive follow-up actions with TALeads, HR Business Partners, HR Managers, and Leaders
  • Support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts, as needed


What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree in related area of study
  • 5+ years related work experience, preferably in workforce planning, organizational design, talent management, HR analytics, or HR business partner activities
  • Advanced analytical skills, familiarity with HR data, reviewing data, spotting trends, and developing workforce management recommendations to support future growth
  • Advanced spreadsheet and presentation building skills
  • Recent experience, preferably in a fast-growing, high-tech or software development company
  • Influential, with ability to work collaboratively, lead discussions, and gain the trust and confidence of leadership
  • Excellent communication, relationship building, and presentation skills
  • Experience working with teams outside of the U.S. is a plus
