Waymo's Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams are making the technology of the future a reality. We handle all production processes and supplier development strategies: from contracts and purchasing, to designs for improved manufacturing, through quality control and delivery. We collaborate actively with Waymo engineering teams as well as external suppliers and partners to make sure everything is built to spec and delivered on time to meet the rising demands of our business.

In this role you'll:

  • Actively collaborate with internal teams to identify and publish the demand in order to drive daily production activities
  • Ensure ongoing materials availability, timely production schedules, adequate output quantities, proper allocation and efficient shipments to meet business requirements
  • Drive the overall operations schedule, production planning and materials readiness to meet the vehicle integration schedule and fulfill vehicle services demand
  • Leading Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) operations team in planning and executing to the plan
  • Prepare and share components forecasts with suppliers
  • Mitigate components shortage, excess and obsolescence
  • Oversee the Supply Chain budget

At a minimum, we'd like you to have:

  • Experience in manufacturing, demand planning and supply planning
  • BA/BS degree 
  • Advanced experience in Excel/Google Sheets
  • Flexible mindset with the changing needs of the business
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to present to management
  • Prior OEM management experience
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time or more as needed for business demands

It's preferred if you have:

  • 5 years of experience managing OEMs
  • Masters or MBA 
  • Prior experience with MPS (Master Production Schedule) and Manufacturing Input/Output/Yield
  • Familiar with CTB (Clear-To-Build)
  • Ability to create and present solutions to complex problems
  • Ability to work independently to deep dive data and make informed decisions
