About the Role:

  • Drive the delivery of technical programs for key org and company-wide initiatives to ensure cross-functional alignment
  • Manage the entire lifecycle of multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously, from planning to launch
  • Guide and manage the usage of agile methodologies to simplify project delivery
  • Partner with multiple stakeholders and cross functional teams (Operations Leadership, Operations Managers, Product, Engineering, CX, etc.) to prioritize and maximize the impact of your projects
  • Identify and implement process improvements across the Engineering org
  • Help influence peers / managers and build consensus while dealing with ambiguity
  • Provide mentorship to more junior team members 

This role is remote eligible. For Colorado only, this role has an annual salary range of $125,000-$135,000, a competitive equity package, health, dental and vision benefits, a 401(k) offering with employer match, wellness stipend, and a flexible PTO policy. This job may also be eligible for variable compensation in the form of an incentive bonus.

A Day in the Life:

  • Lead all project-related meetings for projects in flight, coordinate and manage all stages of the project lifecycle (Planning, Execution, Launch) 
  • Work closely with Product Manager and Engineering Managers/Project Leads to align on project deliverables, timelines and stakeholder management

What We’re Looking For:

  • Relevant experience in technical product/program/project management leading multiple projects in an agile engineering environment; significant experience in following scrum ceremonies and managing scrum ceremonies
  • Multiple years with software and/or systems engineering 
  • Analytic focus and proven success identifying and resolving systemic issues
  • Experience operating autonomously and leading across multiple teams, with stakeholders in different disciplines across time zones
  • Ability to speak and translate between technical and non-technical business stakeholders
  • Experience in creating communications and presentations for multiple levels of staff and executives regularly
  • Interpersonal skills to build relationships, and collaborate with diverse cross-functional teams
  • Consistent track record of shipping products with broad customer impact
  • Strong customer service focus, with the ability to communicate and build relationships with highly technical management teams
  • Certifications such as Scrum Master, PMP, PMI-ACP, CAPM

What Happens Next?

Many of our interview questions will be behavioral, aimed at understanding how you might operate here at Betterment. We may ask you to complete a case study exercise or technical assessments, depending on the role, as we aim to collect a robust set of data points throughout the interview process.

On average, it takes us around 2-3 weeks to make a hiring decision, depending on your availability and sense of urgency. As a best practice, we aim to interview at least 3 final round candidates before making a hiring decision.
