About the job
The Red Hat Marketing team is looking for a Senior Program Manager to join us. In this role, you will be responsible for the strategy and management for strategic enterprise programs in close collaboration with cross-functional teams like business units, global and corporate marketing, etc. You'll need to be an experienced and energetic contributor to work alongside the Marketing Technology and Operations (MTO) Marketer Efficiency team, as well as cross-functional enterprise teams, to support process efficiency across marketing. This team is responsible for helping build and optimize marketing delivery processes and systems. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
What you will do

  • Facilitate partnership and collaboration through a cross-functional governance structure to effectively bring multiple stakeholders to the table making decisions on requirements, scope, risk mitigation, etc.
  • Help transition stakeholders to working in more collaborative and cross functional methodologies while balancing the needs at the business function level
  • Participate at the enterprise portfolio and program levels to ensure success of program delivery within the context of the broader portfolio of highly integrated programs
  • Partner with multiple business teams, IT, and vendors to define work plans to support their approach, identify Red Hat resource needs and interdependencies with other work streams and programs
  • Work in partnership with consultants and Red Hat subject matter experts to gain an explicit understanding of users, tasks and environments to achieve impactful solutions that are desirable, workable, and viable
  • Manage and escalate risks and issues as needed, anticipate program needs and formulate solutions; in general respond to the variability involved in any key initiative
  • Provide leadership and structure to how the program team will maintain effective working relationships, and provide timely updates on progress in accordance with defined program status and governance cadence
  • Provide flexibility in project management including waterfall and agile methods
  • Guide projects in consideration of organizational change management implications, considering communication, stakeholder management, training, and adoption


What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of program or project management experience; program or project management certifications are a plus
  • Expertise in project management methodologies, tools, and techniques
  • Relationship building skills with a persistent and enthusiastic customer service mentality
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation and communication skills
  • Proven record of managing business programs and program results
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects
  • Ability to empathize and deliver constructive guidance to associates, one-on-one and in groups
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership and creativity
  • Confident and willingness to teach others
  • Superior organizational skills to support a diverse range of work
