The Project Manager will manage the workflow of the Supplementals product team's content and vendor projects through all phases of product development, from R&D to design and through to product launch and maintenance. The Project Manager will work alongside cross-functional teams including design, content, product and engineering on a compelling set of K-8 educational products.
A successful project manager will act as the facilitator of deliverables, keeping the team aligned on those deliverables and ensuring delivery within the expected timeline and budget. This includes creating and tracking project plans, performing business analysis, developing processes and communication plans that support iterative product development and agile workflows.
Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain project plans, clearly articulating project deliverables, timelines, risks, and status.
  • Track high level milestones of product development, and communicate dependencies
  • Manage multiple vendor relationships, including communication, forward planning, timelines deliverables, and processing invoices
  • Create and manage project plans and budgets and keep senior management apprised of project status, issues, risks, and critical decisions at all times
  • Champion communication best practices across teams including centralizing and maintaining critical documentation
  • Support product teams and ensure they are set up for success by being proactive in identifying risks and tracking and driving mitigation plans for risks and resolution of issues
  • Advise the team on decisions based on considering the balance between scope, quality, time, and budget
  • Collaborate with project managers on other teams, including identifying and sharing best practices and developing/ improving project tracking tools and processes
  • Apply product knowledge, insights into project status, and knowledge of risks and dependencies to contribute to product development conversations and decisions.
  • Support planning processes for agile teams, including JIRA set up and organization


Basic Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in a project management role managing complex, multi-year technical projects with an annual budget exceeding $1M USD
  • Bachelor's degree; equivalent combination of education and comparable work experience
  • Proven ability to successfully organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
