Program Manager -Affinity Programs (multiple locations)
VP Partner Management
The role will be part of the Partner Management team within Marsh's US Affinity organization, focused on growing Marsh's presence in the consumer and personal lines segment through use of digital products & partnerships. This position can be remote anywhere in the US. Responsibilities
Client Facing / Agile Focus
- Work closely with Marsh business units to identify clients for digital implementation
- Gather and prioritize product and customer requirements
- Ensure a strong customer-centric and outside-in focus by establishing a sound design thinking process and feedback loop
- Define the product vision for the client and associated roadmap
- Develop user stories, epics, and spikes
- Work closely with the delivery owners to refine, and prioritize product backlogs
- Work closely with the scrum team and scrum master on digital implementation
- Work closely with sales, compliance, legal, privacy, marketing, and other teams to ensure all revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met
- Become the subject matter expert with respect to (digital) client needs
- Become an expert with respect to the competition and industry trends
- Shape a learning agenda to uncover opportunities and validate customer needs
- Ideate new product constructs, build business cases, and champion the most promising ideas to gain executive buy-in
- Take a disciplined and analytical approach toward measuring client / product success by defining customer/business focused metrics and the required infrastructure to measure ongoing progress
- Collaborate with Marsh Digital Labs and InsurTech startups on new product development opportunities
Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to develop relationships with various business areas
- Work with groups across various functions (business, marketing, legal, etc.)
- Ability to clearly negotiate expectations with colleagues at different levels in the organization (including executive management)
- Develop structured and impactful presentation materials for discussions with business and leadership
- Capacity to work in an entrepreneurial manner within a team environment
- Work closely with the Digital Product and Partnership team to develop and continuously refine product roadmaps based on a comprehensive understanding of changing client/customer needs, industry dynamics, and business objectives
Job Qualifications
- 5-10 years of work experience
- Bachelor's degree required
- Superior analytical and problem solving skills, critical thinking
- Industry background in insurance highly preferred (underwriting, brokerage, personal lines - Auto, Homeowners, Pet )
- Hands-on experience leading product delivery in an Agile environment is strongly recommended
- Excellent influencing and oral/written communication skills
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Highly collaborative work style with ability to work in a team environment & independently
- People skills with experience in attracting, coaching, and mentoring teams
- Strong ability to paint an inspiring vision and bring others along on the journey
- Customer centric mindset
- Experience in customer empathy, including design thinking, customer journey/persona development, and hypothesis-driven test and learn a plus
- Knowledge of SQL, R, or other technical tool for data manipulation is a plus
- Knowledge of QlikSense, Tableau, Microstrategy, or other BI tool is a plus

The applicable base salary range for this role is $79,650 to $141,600.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
