Job summary
The Red Hat People (HR) team is looking for a Future of Work Program Manager to join us. In this role, you will support the vision for Red Hat's Future of Work program and bring it to life leading cross-functional teams. You'll lead the process to develop and guide the connected delivery of a global strategy that reflects future ways of working. You will be responsible for integrating the current COVID-19-response work underway while defining and advancing the Future of Work and workforce planning initiatives in alignment with Red Hat's global strategy. You will be part of a diverse team, working collaboratively with functional teams like Finance, Global Workplace Solutions, and IT, the HR team, and senior business leaders. As a Program Manager working on workforce planning and the Future of Work program, you'll provide innovative and revolutionary approaches on how best to address Red Hat's future talent strategy and facilitate a process that guides decision-making in collaboration with strategy owners and key stakeholders. You will also cooperate with team members to ensure alignment with functional HR strategies and internal HR team initiatives with a clear understanding of dependencies, connections, and risks. Your success will be measured by your ability to design and deliver sustainable strategies for our associates and future talent. Applicants can reside anywhere and will work as part of a virtual globally distributed team. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
Primary job responsibilities

  • Lead a cross-functional team in the design, development, and implementation of a future workplace strategy that helps Red Hat continue to attract and retain top talents
  • Utilize design thinking and project management tools to develop strategic solutions that empower career growth and opportunities within Red Hat, including considerations on when virtual and in-person experiences will be provided
  • Connect with key stakeholders to ensure new programs and program changes are aligned with workforce planning strategies
  • Establish and manage program deliverables, timeline, and measures of success with program leads, including facilities, technology, behavior, and talent changes
  • Deliver the organizational change plan, communications strategy, and project plans and ensure they are connected, aligned, and in support of the overall program
  • Facilitate decisions and gain alignment with the program team and senior leadership; ensure alignment across senior leadership and increase accountability across the program to deliver on milestones
  • Lead project meetings with executive sponsors and other senior leaders as needed
  • Provide status report to executive sponsors as needed
  • Proactively mitigate risks and anticipate decisions and input needed from executive leadership
  • Manage resourcing for the program, including budget and headcount needs
  • Develop and utilize personas in strategy development


Required skills

  • 5+ years of experience in program development
  • Skilled at integrating processes and technologies across multiple platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to consult with all levels of leadership across the organization, including expertise in cross functional collaboration and partnership
  • Expertise in facilitating key stakeholders to aligned thinking and decision making using various approaches, methodologies, and frameworks
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguities and operating in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to think and act strategically and conceptually, while maintaining a focus on delivering operational excellence
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of information into consumable frameworks and concepts to facilitate key decision making and set future direction
  • Ability to act as a business-minded change agent within the organization and to apply best practices in change management
  • Written and verbal communication skills with the ability to persuade and inspire
  • Bachelor's degree in business, organizational development, human resources, or equivalent; master's degree is a plus
