Job purpose
We are looking for a talented Technical Program Manager (TPM) to drive key initiatives across our Product and Engineering teams. This role leads strategic product development initiatives in a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment. This role straddles both strategic and tactical responsibilities, often working cross-functionally across Boomi with significant engagement with all levels of the organization.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead programs by achieving cross-functional alignment on business objectives, program scope, and execution approach
  • Develop and execute project plans, effectively managing tasks, risks, and issues
  • Positively guide and advise teams through program challenges
  • Keep the team productive and organized by building consensus, knocking down barriers, and managing to an aggressive, yet realistic schedule
  • Anticipate what might fall through the cracks and employ a proactive approach to ensure things run smoothly and productively
  • Create and present project status reports that provide visibility into the health and activity of the programs
  • Proactively highlight and resolve risks and issues and clearly communicate those risks to stakeholders
  • Conduct program governance and effective change management
  • Lead efforts to resolve program issues, escalations, and prioritization conflicts by establishing clear decision points and resolution paths
  • Interact confidently and positively with individual technical contributors, product managers, and cross-functional leaders (technology and business)
  • Collaborate with and support fellow Program Managers; contribute to enhancing TPMO processes, standardization, and best practices
  • Collaborate with the product and engineering leadership team to effectively identify areas of opportunity and maximize organizational success

  • Proficiency in adapting to change and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior executives, technical and nontechnical team members alike

Experience/Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • Minimum of 6+ years of technical program management experience, preferably in a matrix and agile environment; SaaS experience is a plus
  • Thorough understanding of the SDLC and the ability apply this knowledge in a dynamic environment using agile methodologies
  • PMI certification is a plus
  • Adept at effective stakeholder, risk, and communication management
  • Working knowledge with JIRA/Confluence, Google Apps, and Smartsheet
