Job summary
The Red Hat Partner Engagement team within the Customer Experience and Engagement (CEE) department is looking for an Associate Partner Success Manager (APSM) to join us in the U.S. In this role, you will work closely with trusted partner advisors and focus on ensuring that valuable partners are fully engaged, recognize Red Hat as a preferred technology partner, and that together, they deliver an outstanding customer experience. You'll provide partners a direct contact to the Technology Partner Success Desk, a no cost offering where our technology partners can ask questions relating to Red Hat offerings, partner programs, product certification, engagement process, and more. Whether an existing Red Hat Partner that uses our products and technologies to build and certify for, support, or to interoperate with our platforms, or are a prospective partner, they can use this desk to ask us questions throughout their engagement journey. We provide this service to simplify the Red Hat partnering experience with the goal of achieving better relationships. As an Associate Partner Success Manager, you will also work with our team of Partner Success Managers in a supporting role, facilitating the relationship between our support organization and our certified cloud service providers (CCSP), independent software vendors (ISV), original equipment manufacturers (OEM), and system integrator (SI) partners. Your main goal will be helping to scale out our program offerings to effectively reach a larger audience of partners through consistent, repeatable and impactful partner interactions. Red Hat has offices across the U.S. and well-qualified, home-based applicants will also be considered to work remotely.
Primary job responsibilities

  • Support digital touch partners in coordination with Partner Success Managers, Partner Technical Account Managers, and Program Managers
  • Tailor and deliver materials to educate partners on Red Hat product life cycle, certification, and support best practices
  • Coordinate with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Technical Support teams to advocate for partner needs and bidirectional feedback
  • Facilitate discussion with partners to ensure their transition from sales to technical support and consulting is seamless
  • Collaborate with Ecosystem Partner Managers to address inquiries from partners in which a partner success manager is not formally assigned
  • Guide corrective actions and closed-loop activities for digital touch partners
  • Contribute to metrics and other reporting standards to showcase the impact of the Technology Partner Success Desk to internal stakeholders


Required skills

  • Experience advocating for customers and an ability to foster and cultivate relationships with customers
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and possess excellent follow up skills
  • Organized and work well with constant priority changes
  • Self-starter and able to take ownership of new initiatives; ability to see through to closure or proposed solution
  • Knowledge and understanding of the open source development model and open source software solutions like cloud computing and DevOps
  • Familiarity with Red Hat's product portfolio is considered a plus and knowledge of common enterprise software applications and servers
  • Background or experience in technical support is a plus; an understanding of technical support and professional services processes and workflows
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline is a plus
  • Experience with partner organizations and handling of not for resales (NFRs), partner program bundles, entitlements, etc. is considered a plus
