Manage projects end to end from scoping to embedding with the customer using QBE methodologies and processes.
Primary Responsibilities
• Managing QBE projects and ensuring a focus on delivering to support QBE strategic objectives and delivering benefit to QBE
• Support the implementation of assigned projects to enable delivery of overall business targets
• Project planning using Microsoft Project and aligned with QBE project management methodologies
•Performing regular program reporting including the reporting on schedule, budget, scope, quality, risks, issues, dependencies, team, stakeholders and benefits
• Escalating decisions as required to start, stop and pass through key project stage gates
• Operating projects in alignment with QBEs program management methodologies
• Effective project risk and issue management
•Work with the Portfolio Delivery Office to schedule and resource projects balancing QBE GSSC demand and supply
• Manage vendors throughout the vendor lifecycle from appointment through to disengagement and regular performance management
•Serve as region’s resident expert in Project Management
• Perform regular project management activities including tracking and intervention to ensure programs are delivered to scope, budget and schedule expectations
• Managing the effective delivery of QBE Projects to agreed time, budget, scope and quality
• Managing program change management including change to scope, schedule and budget
•Manages a team of Project Analysts who handle multiple projects for the region
Required Education
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Required Experience
• 5 years relevant experience
Preferred Competencies/Skills
• Project management including budget, benefit, schedule and team management skills
• Communication and stakeholder management skills
• Problem solving and negotiation
Preferred Experience
• General Insurance experience is preferred but not required
• 5 + years experience in PM tools
• Relevant tertiary qualifications
Preferred Knowledge
• Broad knowledge of SDLC, project management processes and project prioritization and scheduling processes and tools
