We’re Expanding Our Team !!!!
As we continue to grow and take on new opportunities, we’re looking for a Project Manager to join our team and be part of our next stage of growth.
We’re looking for someone who can lead with confidence, think beyond the day-to-day tasks, connect the bigger picture, and bring people together to turn plans into results.
For us, it’s not just about managing projects. It’s about taking ownership, solving problems, collaborating across teams, and continuously looking for better ways to do things.
The Project Manager owns the on-time, on-budget and on-quality delivery of one or more donor-funded projects. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams of consultants and technical experts, manage client relationships and other development partners, and make sure every deliverable meets acceptable standards and contract terms.
RequirementsProject delivery and planning
• Lead end-to-end delivery of assigned projects against the terms of reference, contract, work plan and budget.
• Develop detailed work plans, schedules, resource plans and risk registers, and update them as conditions change.
• Track milestones, deliverables and expenditure; flag risks, delays and scope changes early and propose solutions.
• Run project start-up, including inception reports, kick-off meetings and mobilisation of teams.
Client and stakeholder management
• Serve as the main day-to-day contact for task teams, development agencies, government counterparts and other stakeholders.
• Prepare and present progress reports, briefings and deliverables that meet donor quality and formatting standards.
• Coordinate with beneficiaries, implementing partners and local authorities, including during field missions.
Team and technical leadership
• Lead and motivate multi-disciplinary teams of staff, sector specialists and short-term consultants across several sectors.
• Assign tasks, set quality standards and review technical outputs before submission to the client.
• Coordinate subcontractors and joint-venture partners, and manage their performance and deliverables.
Financial and contract management
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, invoicing and cost control in line with contract terms and donor rules.
• Ensure compliance with World Bank procurement, fiduciary, safeguards and reporting requirements.
• Manage contract variations, amendments and close-out documentation.
Quality, monitoring and learning
• Apply monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track results and report on outcomes, not only outputs.
• Maintain quality assurance processes and document lessons learned for use across Seismic projects.
Business development support
• Contribute to expressions of interest, technical and financial proposals, and bid strategy for new development-sector opportunities.
• Support client relationship growth and help build Seismic's reputation for delivery.
Required
• Bachelor's degree in project management, development studies, public policy, economics, engineering, social sciences or a related field; a master's degree is an advantage.
• [5–10] years of project management experience, including at least [4] years leading donor-funded projects.
• Demonstrated experience delivering projects for the World Bank, or comparable agencies such as the AfDB, UN agencies, FCDO, USAID or the EU.
• Strong knowledge of World Bank procedures, including procurement, safeguards, fiduciary and reporting requirements.
• Proven record of managing budgets, schedules, risks and multi-disciplinary teams across more than one sector.
• Excellent written and spoken English, with strong report-writing and presentation skills.
• Advanced skills in MS Office and project management tools (MS Project, Asana, Trello or similar).
Preferred
• PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent project management certification.
• Experience with monitoring and evaluation, data collection, or digital delivery platforms.
• Experience writing or contributing to proposals and expressions of interest for development tenders.
• Familiarity with the public sector and development context in Nigeria and across Africa.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for field missions and client meetings.
