Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will lead Information Systems (IS) projects and manage the complete application lifecycle —planning, building, testing, launching, maintenance and support. You will be responsible for delivering projects on time and within budget and for keeping applications run smoothly.
The work model for the role is: hybrid
This role is contributing to the Electrification (EL) / Information Systems (IS) in EMEA.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Lead IS projects from start to finish. Meet deadlines, stay within budget, and deliver quality work.
- Oversee application management on all stages: planning, development, testing, launch, and maintenance.
- Work with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, timelines, and needed resources.
- Track progress and identify risks early. Create plans to address them.
- Manage stakeholder communications and maintain positive relationships across business and technical teams
- Coordinate work with developers, QA teams, infrastructure experts, and business analysts.
- Ensure compliance with ABB standards, governance frameworks, and ITSM best practices
- Continuous improvement initiatives. Improve how applications perform and work. Make them more reliable and user-friendly.
- Mentor and support team members. Build a culture of high standards and accountability.
- Create reports and presentations for leadership. Share project updates and results.
Qualifications for the role:
- 3+ years of experience managing IT projects or applications.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects within large organizations.
- Knowledge of ITIL or similar IT frameworks.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with project tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or MyServices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, or similar field.
- Knowledge of cloud and DevOps.
- Experience with Agile or Scrum.
