We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in the Netherlands. In this role, you will play a critical part in the Digital Retail Solutions (DRS) function across the European region, contributing to our ongoing success and strategic goals.

Role Overview

The Project Manager plays a critical role in enabling the successful delivery of Digital Retail Solutions (DRS) initiatives across the organization. This position resides within the Global DRS Solutions Development team and partners closely with Global Product Owners, Market Product Managers, Technology teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to plan and execute product launches, market enablement initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.

The Project Manager serves as a key point of coordination between Global DRS leadership and stakeholders across multiple European markets, helping drive stakeholder alignment, manage risks and dependencies, and ensure the successful delivery of business and customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Initiation

  • Develop project charters, scope statements, success criteria, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Create and maintain WBS, estimates, schedules, resource plans, and financial forecasts.
  • Identify, assess, and proactively manage dependencies, constraints, assumptions, risks, and critical-path activities.
  • Establish project governance, communication plans, and stakeholder engagement strategies to support successful execution.

Project Execution & Delivery

  • Lead cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones and deliverables across varying project types (new products, country enablement, or quality improvement initiatives).
  • Drive accountability across project teams to ensure commitments and business outcomes are delivered.
  • Manage scope, dependencies, changes, issues, and risks through effective mitigation and resolution planning.
  • Oversee vendor engagement, contract management, and deliverable quality to ensure successful project execution.
  • Support implementation readiness, deployment planning, launch execution, and post-launch stabilization activities.

Financial & Resource Management

  • Understand business outcomes and financial goals (revenue, OP, GM, etc.) and drive teams to deliver expected product outcomes on time and within budget.
  • Own project budgets, including cost baselines, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Track and reconcile actuals, POs, invoices, and resource allocations to ensure effective financial management.
  • Partner with resource managers to support capacity planning and effective resource utilization.

Governance & Reporting

  • Conduct project cadences, phase-gate reviews, governance reviews, and stakeholder status updates.
  • Produce weekly/monthly reporting on project health, schedule performance, risks, dependencies, and financial position.
  • Ensure compliance with PMO standards, governance processes, and project management best practices.
  • Identify project change requests (scope, budget, timeline) when needed and facilitate impact assessment, review, and approval.

Stakeholder & Change Management

  • Manage relationships with sponsors, SMEs, customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and execute communication and change management plans to support stakeholder engagement, business readiness, and adoption.
  • Facilitate timely decision-making, stakeholder alignment, and removal of roadblocks to maintain delivery momentum.
  • Escalate risks, issues, and decisions appropriately when leadership support or direction is required.

Key Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience leading projects and programs of increasing complexity in technology, product, digital, or business transformation environments.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives involving Product, Technology, Operations, external partners, and business stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications preferred; LEAN certification a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Project for the Web, Azure DevOps/Jira, and Power BI.
  • Experience managing global (multi-country / multi-region) initiatives and stakeholders is preferred.
