The opportunity

 

The Project Manager will deliver a $30m waste bulk haulage transfer station as a part of the Logan Water Partnership. In addition to managing the Project development phase, progressing through the governance gate process to project approval and through the delivery phase of the project. You will be collaborating with design, scheduling, cost, commissioning and maintenance teams to ensure smooth transitions and project success. 

 

The wider Logan Water Partnership team is at the forefront of a diverse range of civil construction initiatives, including water and wastewater treatment plants, expansive water and wastewater networks, critical asset renewal projects, and flagship sustainable energy and utilities projects. What you’ll do

  • Manage, coordinate and deliver a complex project

  • Foster a culture of innovation, proactively develop team members, provide mentoring, leading by example and demonstrating a strong commitment to the Downer Standard and Zero Harm.

  • Support budget management processes and collaborate with the Senior Project Manager to optimise cost, implement improvements, ensure accurate records, reports and forecasting

  • Support procurement processes including implementation of Procurement Management Plan, Subcontractor engagement processes and supplier processes. 

  • Build strong relationships across design teams, clients and internal stakeholders to support optimal delivery across projects and the Logan Water Partnership

What we’re looking for

  • Engineering qualification with substantial experience managing civil projects on capital infrastructure

  • Project Management certification

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic contracting service orientated environment

  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills 

  • Developed analytical, planning/prioritisation, financial planning and budgeting skills
