Bring your energy to Aggreko as Project Manager – Renewable Projects based in Perth, Brisbane or Melbourne. You’ll be responsible for coordinating and managing renewable projects across the AusPac region in terms of cost, schedule, risk and resources. This role is the conduit between project delivery, project sales, inhouse and external service providers (engineering, finance, customer service etc.) ensuring stakeholders are kept informed of progress.

This role is a key member of the Major Projects Team providing project management expertise and insights to the team. Major Projects are a critical element to our business in providing energy solutions to solve customer challenges.

What you’ll do as Project Manager:
Lead the end-to-end management and delivery of renewable energy hybrid power projects, combining a mixture of solar, wind, battery storage, and thermal power systems
Develop detailed full-scale project plans, schedules, risk registers, budgets and communications documents ensuring alignment with client requirements and organisational goals
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure seamless project delivery through to handover
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders, building strong relationships with our customers, government agencies, and local communities
Monitor project budgets, expenditures, risk registers, and financial performance, ensuring cost-effective delivery
Identify and mitigate financial risks to maintain project profitability
Undertake all responsibilities in a safe manner and positively support a safety culture and systems to support this
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimise project disruptions
Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, HSE documentation, engineering and technical specifications
You are / have:
A minimum of ideally 10 years of demonstrated prior experience as a Project Manager within the renewable energy & construction industry, ideally from either an EPC, NSP, IPP or similar
Knowledge and understanding of the constraints affecting the renewable energy industry in Australia and New Zealand
Project Management experience in renewable energy plants connected to both MV and HV networks
Knowledge of fundamental project management systems and procedures in the construction industry
Demonstrated experience of managing construction of utility scale Renewable Energy projects, i.e., larger than 50MW
Experience in delivery of hybrid power projects is advantageous
Construction related formal qualifications in project management
An engineering degree or related discipline as background would be ideal but not required
High level of commercial acumen including strategic planning, finance and leadership skills
Successful track record in project delivery and experience in managing various stakeholders, EPC Contractors, split scope contracting models, etc
Capability to operate autonomously, demonstrating initiative, while also thriving in a team environment
