What You Will Do
- Lead end-to-end execution of complex mechanical and electro-mechanical R&D programs from concept through commercialization.
- Own and manage integrated project plans covering scope, schedule, cost, quality, risks, and dependencies.
- Drive disciplined execution using phase-gate / PDP frameworks while ensuring Design Control compliance.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Clinical, Marketing) across global sites.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate technical, regulatory, supply chain, and schedule risks.
- Develop and manage project budgets, resource plans, procurement strategies, and supplier engagements.
- Lead governance activities including design reviews, phase-gate reviews, executive updates, and escalation forums.
- Act as the primary communication and alignment hub, influencing stakeholders without direct authority and keeping the customer/patient at the center.
What You Need
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience managing technical or R&D projects.
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
- Strong foundation in project management fundamentals (scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality).
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with technical teams and senior stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP certification or equivalent formal project management credential.
- Experience in medical device, regulated product development, or highly regulated industries.
- Working knowledge of FDA, ISO 13485, and Design Control / DHF requirements.
- Strong background in mechanical or electro-mechanical product development programs.
- Proven ability to influence without authority, manage ambiguity, and drive results under pressure.
