As the Project Manager Warehouse Solutions, it's your job to set priorities and keep an eye on how every aspect of a project is progressing. You will have ultimate responsibility for the successful delivery of one or more Material Handling projects and form the link between the client, the team at Vanderlande and subcontractors. We expect an autonomous and client-oriented approach and the ability to manage projects worth between € 1 and 5 millions. You will manage projects with tight deadlines and work in and with different cultures. You will deliver realistic project plans and have the ability to implement them such that the achievement of all of the following relevant key factors is guaranteed: customer satisfaction, time, budget, quality and functionality. Finally, you will have commercial responsibility during the implementation phase of the various projects in which you are involved.
Project Management within the W-Domain is organized in 4 regional teams. As we are expecting growth, we are looking for a Project manager-II with the potential and ambition to further develop within the function of Project Management in our team covering Southern Europe, UK and LATAM.
This position is based preferably in Spain (Barcelona aera) or in France (Paris area).
The projects given priority will be located in Spain and Italy & potentially France.
As a Project Manager your main functions/ tasks will be:
Monitoring project planning and its revisions
Ensure compliance with key dates and milestones, as well as follow-up on activity advancement processes.
Coordination of the different parts/disciplines involved (departments, subcontractors, customer) for management resources and materials.
Analysis and management of risks and valued opportunities.
Ensuring reach across its entire dimension.
Lead and coordinate the on-site team to meet the scope of the project.
Ensure that each discipline leads and oversees their respective subcontractors in supply, times and quality.
On site' support to key figures of the deployment process: Site Manager / Integration Manager / Comissioning Engineer.
Ensure proper customer communication with the different on-site disciplines.
Understand customer needs and expectations and build trust.
Search for new opportunities with the aim of improving the result.
Experience and skills:
> Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering,and a strong preference to work within a business to business environment;
> Min 5 years of experience in the management of projects in an environment of industrial installations or implementation of industrial projects;
> Natural leader with excellent communication and motivational skills
> Dynamic problem solver with drive, determination to deliver challenging projects
> Strong analytical skills, the ability to use your logistic skills in analyzing and understanding customer processes, creating concept solutions;
> Strong communicational skills and a creative approach to build professional client relationships;
> Ability to work within an international work environment, especially working within a project organization;
> Strong language skills in Spanish and English (C1), both verbal and written, other languages will be considered as a plus.
> Willingness to travel on site
