Catalent’s Philadelphia, Pennsylvania site serves as the company’s North American Center of Excellence for clinical supply packaging, delivering comprehensive, end‑to‑end support for global clinical trials across multiple therapeutic modalities. The site provides integrated services including direct comparator sourcing, blinding and manufacturing, primary and secondary packaging, storage and distribution, and clinical returns management, enabling efficient and compliant trial execution. It also plays a growing role in supporting biologic as well as cell and gene therapy programs, with enhanced cold‑chain and cryogenic handling capabilities designed to meet the complex requirements of advanced therapies. As a critical hub within Catalent’s global clinical supply network, the Philadelphia site helps sponsors accelerate development timelines while maintaining the highest standards of quality, flexibility, and regulatory compliance.

Our Philadelphia site is located in the Bensalem/Northeast Philadelphia area.

We have an opportunity for a Project Manager II, Commercial to join our team and serve as the primary customer contact and program leader for assigned commercial, validation, and strategic accounts. In this role, you will lead programs from contract award through launch, production, lifecycle management, and closure. You will manage multiple complex projects, maintain strong customer relationships, and ensure alignment between expectations and operational capabilities. This position requires a focus on financial performance, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver successful outcomes.

The Role:

  • Serve as the primary customer contact and program lead, managing commercial, validation, and strategic accounts from contract award through product lifecycle and project closure.

  • Lead multiple complex projects simultaneously, overseeing timelines, risks, customer meetings, audits, launch readiness, and issue escalation.

  • Manage commercial launch and validation activities, including packaging, labeling, process performance qualification, equipment qualification, supply chain readiness, and lifecycle management.

  • Own project financial performance by managing budgets, forecasts, contracts, revenue, invoicing, profitability, and business growth opportunities.

  • Drive cross-functional collaboration across Supply Chain, Planning, Operations, and customers to align forecasts, inventory, capacity planning, and commercial objectives.

The Candidate

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Science, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field preferred.

  • Equivalent combination of education (such as high school or GED), industry experience, and demonstrated project management expertise will be considered.

  • Minimum 2+ years of project management experience in a Good Manufacturing Practice-regulated environment.

  • Experience managing commercial product launches and validation programs preferred.

  • Experience managing strategic customer relationships strongly preferred.

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.

  • Professional Project Management Qualification preferred.

  • Commercial experience.

  • Experience in packaging, food, pharmaceutical, or contracting industries.

  • Forecasting or proposal writing experience is a plus.
