Ciena is seeking a Project Manager to lead packet and access network deployments across key customers in India. This role drives successful execution of multi-technology network programs through deployment, integration, and customer delivery activities. The position contributes to delivering high-quality network outcomes across dynamic telecom environments.
How you will make an impact:- Lead end-to-end delivery of packet/access network projects across IP/MPLS, aggregation, access, and FTTx environments.
- Drive project execution from planning through deployment, acceptance, and closure.
- Manage customer relationships, escalations, change requests, governance reviews, and milestone updates.
- Coordinate engineering, design, field deployment, supply chain, and third-party vendor activities.
- Track project budgets, revenue forecasts, margin performance, and scope management activities.
- Identify deployment, integration, and customer dependency risks and drive corrective actions.
- Manage site readiness, installation, commissioning, network integration, and operational compliance activities.
- Experience: 8+ years background in delivery of packet/access network deployments including IP/MPLS, aggregation, access, or FTTx environments.
- Experience: Application of project delivery practices across planning, deployment, acceptance, and project closure phases.
- Experience: Management of customer-facing telecom programs, including stakeholder engagement and escalation handling.
- Experience: Coordination across engineering, field deployment, supply chain, and third-party vendor teams.
- Experience: Utilization of project financial management activities including budget tracking, revenue forecasting, and margin management.
- Experience: Application of risk identification, root cause analysis, and corrective action management.
- Experience: Background in field rollout activities including site readiness, installation, commissioning, and network integration.
