Huntsman Corporation is now looking for a dynamic individual as a Project Management Intern. Within the GBS FP&A Team, you will have the opportunity to support a Project Manager working on global business improvement, automation, analytics, and process transformation initiatives as a Project Manager Intern.

The Project Manager Intern will support the planning, coordination, tracking, and communication of ongoing projects within the GBS organization. The intern will work closely with a Project Manager, business stakeholders, SMEs, and technical teams to help ensure project activities are organized, documented, and followed up effectively. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in project management practices, stakeholder communication, project reporting, meeting coordination, action tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This position will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

As a Project Management Intern, you will: 

Support Project Managers in coordinating project activities, timelines, meetings, and follow-ups.

Help maintain project plans, action logs, risk and issue trackers, meeting notes, and status updates.

Assist in preparing project documentation, presentations, business review materials, and stakeholder communications.

Track project progress, milestones, dependencies, and open actions to support timely delivery.

Coordinate with business stakeholders, SMEs, and technical teams to gather updates and clarify next steps.

Support meeting preparation by preparing agendas, capturing minutes, and following up on agreed actions.

Assist with project reporting, including status summaries, dashboards, and progress updates.

Learn and apply basic project management practices, tools, and methodologies in a global business environment.

What skills and experiences are we looking for?

You are currently pursuing or have recently completed a University Degree, ideally in Business Administration, Management, Economics, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.

You have already demonstrated project coordination skills through your academic or extracurricular experience, such as organizing university projects, student initiatives, events, group assignments, or extracurricular activities.

Good presentation skills would be an added advantage

You are proactive, well-organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in an international business environment.

You have strong communication skills and are comfortable working with different stakeholders.

You can structure information clearly and follow up on tasks in a timely manner.

You are comfortable using Microsoft Office tools, especially PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

You have an interest in project management, process improvement, automation, analytics, or business transformation.

You can work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

You communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken.

Available to commit for a 6 months internship duration

Any familiarity with project management tools, reporting dashboards or process improvement methodologies would be an advantage.

You are available at least 20 hours per week.
