Role OverviewWe are looking for experienced Business Analysts and Senior Business Analysts with strong banking domain experience to support complex business and technology transformation initiatives across our financial services clients.
You will work closely with business, product, operations and technology stakeholders to understand business challenges, analyze current-state processes and capabilities, define future-state requirements, and translate these into clear and actionable outcomes for delivery teams.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have worked on banking transformation programmes within domains such as Retail Banking, Private Banking & Wealth Management, Corporate & Transaction Banking, Payments, Capital Markets or other banking products and functions.
This role goes beyond requirements documentation. You will be expected to understand the business context and banking domain, challenge requirements where appropriate, connect business needs with technology solutions, and help drive transformation from initial discovery through implementation.
What You'll DoBusiness Analysis & Requirements Management- Lead and facilitate discovery sessions, workshops and stakeholder interviews to understand business objectives, pain points and transformation requirements.
- Elicit, analyze and document functional and non-functional requirements.
- Develop high-quality BRDs, functional specifications, user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria and other analysis artefacts.
- Translate complex business requirements into clear and actionable inputs for technology and delivery teams.
- Manage requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle, ensuring appropriate traceability and alignment to business objectives.
- Identify requirement gaps, conflicts and dependencies and work with stakeholders to resolve them.
- Analyze existing business processes, customer journeys, operating models, systems and capabilities.
- Develop clear as-is and to-be process maps and identify gaps between current and target states.
- Assess the business and operational impacts of proposed transformation.
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve customer experience, reduce operational inefficiencies and strengthen controls.
- Support the definition of future-state business processes, capabilities and operating models.
- Apply your banking domain knowledge to understand the wider business context behind transformation initiatives.
- Work with Product Owners, SMEs, architects and technology teams to translate business needs into appropriate solution requirements.
- Analyse impacts across products, processes, systems, data, controls and customer journeys.
- Support solution design and evaluate proposed solutions against business requirements.
- Identify upstream and downstream impacts and dependencies across banking processes and platforms.
- Act as a key bridge between business, operations and technology teams throughout the transformation lifecycle.
- Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders and facilitate effective decision-making.
- Communicate complex requirements clearly across both business and technical audiences.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Product Owners, developers, architects, testers and other delivery stakeholders.
- Support resolution of requirements, design and delivery issues throughout implementation.
- Define business acceptance criteria and support the development of testing scenarios.
- Support SIT, UAT and business validation activities, ensuring delivered solutions meet agreed requirements.
- Manage defects and requirement clarifications through to resolution.
- Support implementation planning, business readiness and transition into BAU.
- Validate delivered outcomes against the original business objectives and requirements.
- Produce high-quality consulting deliverables, including analysis, recommendations, presentations and executive materials.
- Structure complex problems and communicate findings clearly to client stakeholders.
- Contribute insights and recommendations rather than simply documenting stakeholder requests.
- Support development of business cases, transformation roadmaps and client proposals where required.
- Coach and support junior Business Analysts and contribute to Capco methodologies and reusable assets.
- Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst / Senior Business Analyst within banking or financial services.
- Proven experience working on banking transformation programmes, including business, digital, technology, operating model or regulatory transformation.
- Strong experience across requirements elicitation, business analysis, process mapping, gap analysis and functional requirements.
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end change lifecycle, from discovery and requirements through design, testing and implementation.
- Experience working across business and technology teams within complex banking environments.
- Ability to understand the business problem behind a requirement and challenge or refine requirements where appropriate.
- Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills, including experience running workshops and engaging senior stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in complex, ambiguous and highly regulated environments.
