Project Management (PMO) is part of Manufacturing Development at IKEA Industry. Manufacturing Development leads and supports new products, new materials and business development activities, furniture- & board-technology. Together with our IKEA colleagues we lead and develop business development within IKEA Industry units as well as offering support and services including project management, product development for IKEA Suppliers, automation & robotics and the development of manufacturing concepts benefitting IKEA today and tomorrow.

Job Description

We are looking for a Project Leader for expansion projects in Poland. The projects are major investments in the region, and the first assignment is at our factory in Stepnica.

As Project Leader you will lead expansion projects within IKEA Industry, Poland, and you will be part of a team of project leaders all reporting to PMO Manager located in Malmö, Sweden. The project will report to the Project Steering group/ Project Owner and deliver the result to the receiving organization in Stepnica. You will lead a project team of 5-6 members with different competences that are vital for success.

The project at our furniture factory in Stepnica includes building an extension of the factory  and automation of the repair process. This include installation of machines, start-up, ramp-up and hand over to the local organization.

As Project Leader you are responsible for:

- Delivering the project within set frames for scope, time and budget, applying relevant project management methods and tools

- Secure regular project follow-up and report to the steering group to  enable change

- Plan and perform handover to the line organization which include involvement in early stage and change management

- Ensure that lessons learned have been documented

- Lead, coach and develop a high performing project team that will make sure to reach project objectives and goals

- Take lead in working across functions within the site organization, common support functions and across IKEA Supply.

- Enable all team members to share best practices with and across the organization

- Take lead in driving an open and sharing climate, being a role model of the IKEA values where our co-workers are informed, engaged and empowered

Qualifications

To be successful in the role, you have;

- Inspiration and leadership in line with IKEA values. An authentic leader with strong self-awareness and ability to lead people situationally.

- Passion and ability to lead a project team

- Passion to develop and engage the relevant competencies on different levels

- Proven similar cases of Project Management in a manufacturing environment

- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with the ability to coordinate and analyze multiple workstreams with connection to running processes

- Experience from furniture production is an advantage

- Very good in English (C1/C2 level)

- Good in Polish (min B2 level)
