Key responsibilities
In this role, you will support customer projects from planning through to successful commissioning and develop modern information management and visualization solutions for industrial automation systems.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Planning, engineering, and implementation of HSI and information management systems
- Development and continuous enhancement of cybersecurity solutions, as well as execution of security projects in the automation environment
- Analysis of customer requirements and development of customized technical solution concepts
- Selection, specification, and integration of suitable hardware and software components, including system installation, configuration, and commissioning
- Execution of system tests and ensuring overall system functionality
- Technical support and assistance for customers, including service, maintenance, and optimization activities throughout the entire project lifecycle
- Collaboration with national and international ABB entities as well as external partners, and development of long-term customer relationships
- Responsibility for meeting quality, schedule, and budget targets
Qualifications for the role
- Successfully completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Information Technology, Communications Engineering, or a comparable qualification
- Initial experience in Human System Interface, Information Management, Automation Technology, or Industrial IT is an advantage
- Good knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and IT infrastructures
- Basic knowledge of networking, virtualization, and IT security
- Strong interest in digital technologies and industrial information systems
- Structured, independent, and solution-oriented approach to work, combined with strong teamwork and communication skills and a high level of customer and service orientation
- Willingness to travel approximately 30%
- Fluent German and good English, both written and spoken
