About the Opportunity
JOB SUMMARY
Northeastern University’s Office for Central Co-op Support seeks a highly organized and proactive Project Coordinator to support strategic initiatives and administrative functions. Reporting to the Senior Director of Cooperative Education, the Coordinator will:
- Facilitate Meetings: Prepare agendas, attend meetings, and handle high-level meeting management.
- Liaise with Stakeholders: Communicate with internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the Senior Director.
- Handle Scheduling: Manage the Senior Director’s time, resolve conflicts, and ensure timely preparation of agendas and notes.
- Track Initiatives: Monitor and advance progress on key initiatives.
- Organize Events: Plan and manage logistics for workshops, trainings, and large-scale events, including liaising with the other team and units.
- Support Project Management: Assist with maintaining project plans, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
- Ensure Detail: Demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and multi-tasking skills with attention to detail.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 1-3 years of experience in higher education or project coordination in an educational setting preferred.
- Proven attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency with technology, including MS Office, Adobe, and Smartsheet.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and track project progress.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in taking initiative, working independently, and performing tasks accurately.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
1) Monitoring and advancing progress on key initiatives led by the Senior Director and the Central Co-op team. Managing projects, crafting communications, compiling reports, and providing information. Attending meetings and ensuring for the timely preparation of agendas and meeting notes.
2) Managing a high volume of demands on the Senior Director’s time and resolving conflicts. Anticipating and managing upcoming events and necessary preparations. Communicating with internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the Senior Director and the Central Co-op Office, as needed.
3) Organize Events: Plan and manage logistics for workshops, trainings, and large-scale events, including liaising with the other team and units.
