Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Project Analyst to help support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in their Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program. The right person will help make sure VA and Department of Defense (DoD) systems work together smoothly. This includes managing project tasks like schedules, resources, risks, and budgets in a busy environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help the EHRM team check and analyze the schedules for deploying systems at VA facilities.
- Keep track of the work done by vendors involved in the EHRM program and updates to the joint VA-DoD healthcare system.
- Help create and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for system releases.
- Look at key project decisions related to system integration and offer advice to the team.
- Review project schedules to find risks related to integrating VA and DoD systems.
- Work with system integrators, VHA, OIT, DHA, FEHRM Program Office, and others to update plans for connecting VA and DoD platforms.
- Help create and update important project documents like roadmaps, risk management plans, and schedules.
- Help with go-lives, system upgrades, and migrations to make sure everything goes smoothly before and after.
- Check project documents to make sure they are completed on time and meet the needs of the client.
- Help develop Project Work Statements (PWS) and keep the project on track and within scope.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 8+ years of experience, with at least 5 years focused on project coordination and scheduling.
- Experience working with the VA system and on system integration projects.
- Knowledge of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, especially in healthcare or government settings.
- Ability to spot and fix scheduling and coordination problems quickly.
- Experience managing multiple project schedules, setting goals, and tracking progress.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. Or 8 years of relevant experience can replace the degree.
