Job Summary
The Program Supervisor supervises and maintains the residential milieu. This is a responsible supervisory position. The unique job functions outlined are designed with a focus on safety and quality. This position reports to the Program Director.
- Assists in the implementation and follow through of the treatment plans.
- Assures that treatment plan protocol is adhered to especially as it relates to special treatment procedures.
- Attend and oversees the shift processing meetings.
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the unit as it relates to staff.
- Reports unusual situations which may occur on the unit to the Program Director and or Director of Residential Operations.
- Assure us that the unit is clean and orderly and that all waste is disposed of properly.
- Supervises staff and resident activities on and off the unit
- Supervises accurate documentation of incident reports.
Essential Management Functions
- Monitors performance of staff supervised and responsible for the administration of their duties. Provides prompt and objective coaching and counseling. Assures timely performance appraisals of staff supervised.
- Oversee the duties and essential functions of the Team Leaders.
Additional Responsibilities
- Performs other related tasks as may be assigned such as administer medication.
- Participates in staff development and in-service training activities to increase his/her job knowledge.

- Demonstrates satisfactory communication skills, written and verbal.
- Demonstrates an understanding of children and adolescent developmental issues.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and insists upon the rights of children and adolescents as residents in this facility.
- Must have proven ability to relate to and work with children and/or adolescents.
Organizational Relationships
- This position is accountable to the Program Director.
- This position supervises and trains the Lead Residential Counselors and Residential Counselors.
- Qualifications
- 1. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field with experience in behavioral healthcare.
- 2. Must demonstrate leadership abilities.
- 3. Must be at least 21 years old.
