About This Opportunity

Join UQ as a Program Officer and help inspire the next generation of students by creating inclusive and engaging experiences that open pathways to higher education. In this varied and rewarding role, you will coordinate outreach programs, workshops and events, support UQ Outreach Ambassadors and Mentors, and contribute to the successful delivery of initiatives that connect students with university life.

  • Support the successful delivery of the Ambassador and Mentor Program through planning, scheduling, communication and administration.

  • An understanding of the regional, social, cultural and financial barriers that can affect participation in higher education, particularly for students from underrepresented backgrounds.

  • A current unrestricted Queensland driver’s licence, as occasional travel to partner schools and community locations is required.

At UQ, we value diverse experiences and perspectives. We understand that no candidate is likely to tick every box, and we are interested in hearing from people who can bring their unique skills, lived experience, knowledge and passion to the role. If you are passionate about helping students from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds explore pathways to higher education and contributing to positive outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities, we would love to hear from you.
